OPEN HOUSE APPROACHES AT HIGH SPEED!

Chiron's latest FZ five-axis machining developments will be the stars of the show when Chiron Werke UK stages its three-day Autumn open house of high-speed vertical machining centre technology on Tuesday 31 October to Thursday 2 November at its Southam (Warwickshire) headquarters.

As well as a pair of FZ 08Ws (12- and 24-tool), an FZ long-bed model together with a twin-spindle machine, it is also planned to have two representatives from the recently-developed FZ 15 range available for demonstration. The FZ 15W High Speed/High Speed Plus and the FZ 15S five-axis 20-/48-tool versions boast spindle speeds up to 20,000 revs/min. They also retain the classic Chiron characteristics of high spindle speed, quick acceleration/deceleration, speedy tool change, fast chip-to-chip time and torque ratings up to 180 Nm.

Chiron Werke UK promises a number of other mouth-watering events during the open house - including technical presentations and bacon butties every morning!
